Closed Circuit Draeger FGGIII

In this front view you can see the Dive-Rite backplate, harness and wings I've used. They are the old style, about 8 years old.

On the rebreather itself, you can see it has been fitted with two Scubapro Air2 regulators. The red Air2 (left of picture) is supplied from the on-board O2 cylinder, and the power inflator button is now the O2 manual add valve. The grey Air2 is the equivalent for diluent. The Air2's 2nd stage is still operational, and is used for open circuit bailout.

On the ground in front is the display and switch unit. This is a 16x2 LCD display and a four position rotary switch.

Mounted on the mouthpiece is the Heads Up Display.

This is the modified Air2. The upper hose comes from the on-board O2 cylinder, and having the quick disconnect allows the use of plugable off-board supplies. The lower hose goes to the top of the scrubber for manual O2 addition using the power inflator button on the Air2. The other Air2 is the same, except its power inflator output goes to the inhalation bag for diluent manual addition. Both Air2 o/c regs are available for diluent and O2 bailout. The passage between the Air2 mouthpiece and the inflator outlet has been blocked so water cannot get into the loop.

This is the Heads Up Display mounted on the mouthpiece. The HUD is a tri-colour LED with orange indicating low loop PPO2, green indicating on setpoint, and red indicating high loop PPO2.

The HUD is a bit rough at the moment, being a piece of hose filled with silicon sealant, but a better housing will be made soon.
