The Homebuilders Display System is a customisable solution. The basic unit consists of the DS-1 Digital Display and a bulkhead connector, as shown above left. The bulkhead connector mounts near the sensors, which are wired to it. The display then plugs into this connector. Simple. Options do not need to be ordered right away, they may be added at any time, making it easy to upgrade as needs and finances allow. When the VR3/VR2 cable is used, the VR3/VR2 takes its reading from one of the three existing sensors in the head, eliminating the need for excessive numbers of sensors. The Heads-Up-Display consists of a mouthpiece mounted housing with two LED's, one red, one green. When this is fitted, the diver selects their desired setpoint in the display unit's calibration menu, and the HUD indicates PPO2 information to the diver based on voting logic from all three sensors. A green LED indicates PPO2 is close to setpoint, short red flashing indicates low PPO2, and long red flashing indicates high PPO2. This method was chosen as it is simple, green is good, red is bad. |
